Natural  Weight Loss after Giving Birth

Most pregnant women are advised by their doctor to eat more than the usual and because of this they gain a lot of body fat during pregnancy. Body fat is essential during gestation because it provides the woman with reserved energy needed for pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare. As a result of this most women find it hard to go back to their pre-pregnancy size and others could NEVER go back to their original size.

In the hopes of returning to their sexy state, a lot of women who just recently gave birth have been resorting to almost any weight loss program available in the market. Some women take-in diet pills, drink herbal teas, purchase expensive exercise equipment, enroll in weight loss classes, and even starve themselves to death. These are unhealthy practices especially if you are nursing and a hands-on mom. You still need a good amount of calories even after delivery and whatever you eat could affect the quality of milk you are feeding your baby. The best and fastest way to lose weight after pregnancy is by doing it the natural way.

Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding is not only best for babies but for mommies as well. You could burn as much as 500 calories a day through breastfeeding. I can personally attest to this because I lost around 45 pounds by the time my baby was 6 months old. People who meet me now could hardly even tell that I am already a mom.

Play as a little child

You almost do everything with your BFF, right? So, play a lot with your little one. I choreographed a silly dance that requires a lot of fast movements and my baby loves it; this is because babies get fascinated with sound and motion. She’s now a toddler and she does the silly dance with me. This way, not only we get a good exercise but we have a unique mother-daughter bond as well.

Another activity I share with my little angel is shopping. I used to carry her on a baby sling as we walked around the mall or put her down on the stroller when I felt tired. Now, she walks along with me as we shop together. I personally love doing my walking exercises through shopping because I can hardly notice that I am getting tired.

Eat like a baby

This doesn’t mean that you have to drink baby milk or eat baby food. But instead, it means that you have to eat nutritious food only; stop consuming junk-foods, soda, and any other unhealthy snacks. Also, just like a baby, stop eating as soon as you feel full. Eating small frequent meals a day is healthier that eating one or two meals with large serving.

Motherhood is the fulfillment of womanhood. Only a woman can carry a child in her tummy for nine months. You and the baby are one during this phase; whatever you put inside your mouth gets to your baby. This means, your usual low-calorie diet is a No No when you are pregnant because you and the baby need all the nutrients that you both can get. But don’t be afraid because you can lose that pregnancy fat after you give birth anyway.
